TriviaWeb Rules

Rule #1: We don't allow profanity or 'adult' language here. This is a family-oriented system - and we will not allow adult language or subject matter in questions, usernames, or in any other area. Please help us to keep this one of the (few) places on the web which families can feel welcome and comfortable.
Rule #2: Don't use the [BACK] button to attempt to cheat the system and to try again when you miss a question. The system will recognize this attempt to cheat and will kick you out - making you start over. As with any game where scores are used to track progress and recognize winners, keeping the game fair and square is important for everyone.
Rule #3: There are (currently) no limits on how often or how many times you can play. However, you should make sure to select different categories and not focus on any one. We are adding checks into the system to reward people who score well in many categories, and to penalize those who only focus on one category.
Rule #4: Check the scoreboard frequently - it will give you an idea how you're doing compared to everyone else. There are actually two scoreboards - one ranks players by the percentage of correct answers, and the other simply measures the number of games played (there's something for everyone here!)

Rule #5: We are not responsible for malfunctions in the game software, even if such malfunctions result in lost or corrupted scoring information. We will attempt to see that the games run smoothly, but cannot be held responsible for "bugs" or other problems. However, we certainly do want to know about them - please report any problems to us here.
Rule #6: We are not responsible for mistakes with our questions. Questions are provided to us by third parties whose diligence we respect but cannot warrant. Plus, we all make mistakes. However, we will do our best to make sure that the questions are as accurate as is humanly possible, and that they are current. In cases where a question is found to be incorrect, we will attempt to adjust your score, if we are not involved in a tournament at the time.
Rule #7: TriviaWeb reserves the right to edit, modify, or delete any and all questions or content at its sole discretion. TriviaWeb is under no obligation to publish any user-submitted question, and such decision is at the sole discretion of TriviaWeb. All questions submitted become and remain the property of TriviaWeb, and may be used in this and/or other games, or not, at the sole discretion of TriviaWeb.
